Submit a Ticket

The Office of Institutional Advancement and External Relations handles all official external relations and outreach efforts on behalf of LSC including: marketing, public relations, government and community relations, admissions/recruitment, LSC Foundation/all fundraising, and LSC Athletics. Use the Helpdesk Ticketing system to request assistance in Marketing Requests, LSC Website Edits, or Business Cards.

Tickets must be submitted with the lead times provided below. Once a ticket has been submitted, we will determine if the marketing team has the resources available to assist with your project, and if we do not, we will offer alternatives to help the department achieve its goals.

Types of Marketing Requests

New marketing and promotions/publications/printed materials

Lead time required: At least six (6) weeks prior to the time the material is needed.

Additional notes: Be sure to build in additional time for printing, which is the department’s responsibility to coordinate with the Copy Center after the design is complete.

Other marketing/promotions

Lead time required: At least three (3) weeks prior to the event or publish date.

Additional notes: Includes, but is not limited to, social media promotion, news releases, digital signage requests, updates to existing marketing materials, etc.

Business cards

Lead time required: At least two (2) weeks prior to date needed.

Additional notes: The submitter will receive a PDF file that can be used to place a business card print order to the Copy Center. It is the submitter’s responsibility to obtain supervisor’s approval and the cost center to be charged. Check with supervisor re: ordering process.

Website edits/new content

Lead time required: One (1) week for routine and minor edits or to request form results; two (2) or more weeks for creating new pages or more extensive projects.

Additional notes: The marketing team owns and manages the LSC website, while offices and departments are responsible for reviewing their web content regularly and keeping the content accurate and up to date by submitting marketing request forms with revisions.

Promotional Items (giveaways with the LSC logo), display items, banners, etc.

The marketing team will design the materials based on the product specifications provided in the marketing request. The submitter is responsible for obtaining estimates, preparing purchase requisitions and special expense forms, communicating with the vendor, and submitting the artwork to the vendor. Prior to printing, send a proof to [email protected] for final approval.

Social Media

New accounts are discouraged and require approval from the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and External Relations. Alternatively, submit a marketing request form to request social media promotion using Lake Superior College’s official social media channels.

How to Submit a Marketing or Website Request

Please submit a Help Desk ticket. In the Ticketing System, select in Request Type dropdown menu: Website/Marketing. Another dropdown will appear where you can select one of these three options: Business Cards, LSC Website Edits, or Marketing Requests.
