Learn about the fast paced world of cybersecurity and the many opportunities available in this exciting and high paying field! Cyber Day is open to students in grades 6-12. Students will explore hands on activities in the field of cybersecurity and participate in a short capture the flag competition. Activities will include cyber safety and defense, protection against Internet of Things devices, basic scripting and robot programming.
March 27th, 2020, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.
Girls in grades 5-12
Learn about the many unique activities available to women in the field of cybersecurity. Cyber Girls is open only to girls in grades 5-12. Girls will learn how to program robots and hide information in pictures. Other activities include cyber and password safety, social network safety and career exploration.
High School Capture the Flag Contest
April 24th, 2020, 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Compete against students in other schools in a cyber skills competition. This competition is open to teams of 3-5 people in grades 7-12. The capture the flag will include basic cyber security knowledge, as well as some hardware and software skills. A study sheet will be provided before the competition, so teams can prepare.
